Postcard

This view shows the proximity of the Merrill, Majestic, and Garden theaters on Winconsin Avenue. The Garden was the first in the city to play "talking" picture like Al Jolson's The Jazz Singer, The Majestic was a popular vaudeville stage where Fred Astaire, Houdini, Jack Benny, James Cagney and countless others performed. Today the entire site is occupied by The Grand Avenue Mall. (Courtesy of Dave Prentice.)

This postcard was sent by Christopher from Milwaukee, United States Of America...Thanks Rogue
